For the past decade, it’s been our mission to help get more kids on bikes. Now, we want to help more kids enjoy cycling by having greater access to quality bikes globally, as well as making cycling more sustainable for future generations. We plan to accelerate our international growth, elevate our brand and transition to building our bikes with recycled aluminium.
Started by couple Jerry and Shelley Lawson in a spare room in their home back in 2013 Frog Bikes is now celebrating its 10th birthday!
Frog Bikes has grown massively over the past decade. The child-centred research-led design approach has earned Frog Bikes global accolades, industry awards and an award-winning factory. It has grown exponentially into a global success story with so many people genuinely loving Frog bikes!
Nick Smith, MP for Blaenau Gwent, Councilor Sue Edmunds, and Angharad Barret, Road Safety Officer at Blaenau Gwent Council were welcomed by Frog Bikes manufacturing for a tour of the multi-award-winning kids’ bike factory.
How wonderful is it to stop and watch children riding past on their bikes with such confidence… We often wonder how long they have been riding.
The time it takes for children to feel confident on two wheels could be a day, a week, or even months. It’s essential to let kids practice cycling time and time again but also allow them a break if they feel overwhelmed.
As a company, Frog Bikes is always looking for ways to improve its bikes, making them stronger, easier to maintain, and able to adapt as children grow, to make them last even longer.
