The power of cycling friendships

Cycling has a unique way of bringing people together. Whether it's a group ride through scenic trails, a fun race in the park, or a casual spin around the neighbourhood, cycling offers the perfect opportunity to connect with friends old and new. It's a chance to share stories, encourage one another, create lasting memories and show children the importance of friendship, empathy, and kindness.

“I love riding my bike with my friends. It’s fun, you always have someone to talk to and enjoy it with. I like to ride my bike long distances to fundraise and I love getting my friends involved to do it with me! “There is nothing more fun than cycling with your friends! Cycling is a great way to get fit, and it’s even more fun when you do it with friends. You can bounce ideas off each other to go further and reach new goals! Plus, you’ll always have someone to laugh and talk to while out and about!” Katieridesherbike, Frog Ambassador

Did you know?

Data from a 2023 study by Strava showed that 60% of cyclists are more motivated to ride when they have a friend to join them. The social aspect of cycling encourages consistency and enjoyment.

"Riding with friends adds a whole new dynamic to cycling. It transforms a solo sport into a collaborative, competitive, fun day out. You mentally support each other on the climbs and repair each other's bikes on the descents. Nothing comes close to this sense of friendship, especially being able to share stories of sketchy trails over a post-ride snack or catch-up." Kris Kulwicki, Frog Bikes R&D Manager

Happy International Day of Friendship from all of us at Frog Bikes! Here’s to many more adventures, laughter, and, most importantly, the friends we pedal alongside.
