Stephen Loftus joins Frog Bikes

Ex Brompton Bicycle CCO Stephen Loftus joins Frog Bikes board as Non-executive Director, enhancing its leadership team to accelerate international expansion.

Frog Bikes, a leading manufacturer of lightweight kids’ bikes was founded in 2013 by Jerry and Shelley Lawson after a fruitless search for bikes for their own children inspired them to create bikes built specifically for kids. For the past decade, Frog Bikes has been dedicated to delivering the best possible children’s bikes to customers, and now wants to expand further to help get more kids on bikes around the world.

“I am delighted to be joining Frog Bikes. I am passionate about getting kids on bikes and have got to know Frog well over the last few years. As my kids will testify, the bikes are fantastic, and I believe there is significant potential for growth both in the U.K. as well as internationally. I am looking forward to supporting the team.” said Stephen.

Stephen brings his experience of helping grow the iconic folding bike business from £27 million to over £100 million and becoming an international omnichannel brand. Before Brompton, Stephen worked in sales, marketing and innovation roles in the international drinks industry, for companies including Diageo, Red Bull and Constellation.

Commenting on the appointment, Co-founder of Frog Bikes, Jerry Lawson added “Having known Stephen for some time I can attest that he is a respected innovator in the industry and we are thrilled to welcome him on board to support our next stage of growth.”
