Installing bike accessories

Attach Your Accessories

Check the box contents for accessories and install them:

  • Reflectors for safety
  • Bell for alerting pedestrians
  • Mudguards (if included)

Use the provided brackets, screws, and attachments. For mudguard installation help, view our detailed manuals.

Step 4: Align & Tighten Handlebars

Ensure perfect steering alignment

Check fork orientation
Check the sticker on the fork to ensure proper forward orientation
Loosen stem bolts
Loosen the two allen bolts securing the handlebar stem (one full turn)
Align handlebars
Hold wheel between knees and rotate handlebars until perfectly straight
Tighten bolts
Tighten both stem bolts hand-tight. Do not over-tighten

Perfect Alignment

Proper handlebar alignment is crucial for safe steering and stability:

  • Check the forward-pointing sticker on the forks
  • Loosen stem bolts just enough to move handlebars
  • Ensure handlebars are perfectly straight
  • Tighten bolts securely but don't over-tighten
  • Test by holding wheel and turning handlebars

Step 5: Attach Pedals

Secure the pedals for safe cycling

Identify pedals
Identify correct pedals - red pedal goes into red crank on the left
Remove sticker
Peel up the sticker on the crank to reveal the threaded hole
Thread pedal
Align and gently rotate pedal by hand until threads engage properly
Tighten pedal
Use spanner to tighten quarter turn. Do not over-tighten

Correct Pedal Installation

Proper pedal installation is crucial to avoid damage:

  • Match left pedal (red) with left crank (red)
  • Match right pedal with right crank
  • Remove protective stickers from crank threads
  • Thread pedals by hand first to avoid cross-threading
  • Use spanner only for final tightening
  • Repeat process for both pedals
Important: Never force pedals or over-tighten to prevent thread damage

Step 6: Adjust Saddle Height

Find the perfect riding position

Adjusting saddle height

Find the Perfect Height

Proper saddle height ensures comfort and safety:

  • For beginners: Feet should be flat on the ground
  • For confident riders: On tip-toes is acceptable
  • Never exceed the maximum height marking
  • Ensure the saddle is level and secure
Safety Note: The saddle must not be raised higher than the maximum marking to ensure rider safety

Step 7: Check Brake Operation

Ensure safe and reliable braking

Checking brake operation

Ensure Safe Braking

Proper brake function is essential for safety:

  • Squeeze brake levers - they should feel firm
  • Levers should not pull all the way to the handlebars
  • Adjust using barrel adjusters on brake levers if needed
  • Ensure handlebars are straight and aligned
  • Test both front and rear brakes

For detailed brake adjustments, consult the Owner's Manual.
